50 % of volunteered for test found Covid positive in Katana

A random Rapid Antigen Test series conducted in the Thimbirigaskatuwa area in the Katana Medical Officer of Health Division yesterday (06) confirmed that exactly half of the 58 people who volunteered, or 24, were infected with Covid, Health sources said to Lankasara  .

 

The Administrative Public Health Inspector S.T.U T Kulathilaka an office bearer of PHI’s trade union said that none of these individuals had come to the antigen testing site without special notice from the health department and had been voluntarily tested.
