An 18-year-old youth, who had sustained serious injuries after jumping from the fifth floor of the hospital, has sadly passed away today (26) at the Theldeniya Hospital.
According to sources within the hospital, the young man had been receiving inpatient treatment for a mental illness at the time of the incident.
This incident occurred approximately around five in the morning today (26). Despite efforts by the medical staff, the young man’s condition deteriorated, and he passed while being treated in the intensive care unit of Theldeniya Hospital.
Theldeniya Police will be conducting further investigations.
