Tissa Attanayake, a former Member of Parliament and member of Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) stated that 10 influential former ministers from the previous government have requested nominations for the upcoming general election from the SJB.
Speaking to the media after opening a general election office for SJB on D.S. Senanayake Street in Kandy yesterday (5th), he mentioned that these ministers represent Colombo, Hambantota, Kurunegala, and Badulla. None of them supported Sajith Premadasa in the last presidential election.
“However, we have decided not to offer nominations to anyone accused of corruption or fraud,” Attanayake added.
