The government has allocated less funding for the health sector for 2021 than the amount allocated for this year, says National People’s Power (NPP) MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Accordingly, there has been a serious reduction in funding for the country’s health sector, he said.
The purchase of new test kits, sanitary equipment and medicines will be mandatory and a large sum of money will be required to maintain a normal and safe life under the Covid epidemic, Dissanayake said.
He further pointed out that the government’s action despite this situation will endanger the health of the country in the coming year.
