The second son of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Yoshitha Rajapaksa has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff. Yoshitha is also a Lt. Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy.
In a twitter message by the Chinese Embassy of Colombo, it said it congratulated Yoshitha Rajapaksa on the appointment and that he had also joined in a meeting held with the Acting Ambassador to China.
At the meeting it was also discussed about the discussions held between the high level Chinese delegation who visited Sri Lanka recently and the Sri Lankan leaders and the bilateral friendship between the two countries.
