The Governor of the Southern Province Dr Willy Gamage has confirmed that he was diagnosed with the Covid virus today (02).
The Governor said that he was quarantined after his private secretary contracted Covid and that a PCR test confirmed that he too had contracted Covid 19. He said he is to be admitted to the IDH today for further treatment.
Earlier, PCR tests had confirmed that the governor’s private secretary and his driver had been infected with the Covid virus.
