Rakhitha Rajapaksa, the son of Parliamentarian Wijayadasa Rajapaksa has been arrested by Welikada Police in connection with an accident that took place last night (19). A Range Rover jeep driven by him had collided with another car near the Rajagiriya flyover and four persons were injured in the accident and were admitted to hospital.
It is reported that Rakhitha Rajapaksa also injured and is undergoing a medical examination to determine whether he had consumed alcohol while driving. Welikada Police are conducting further investigations.
