Who is behind the gas deal ? Cabinet should reveal – Dayasiri says

The Prime Minister and his Cabinet should give an immediate answer to the allegation that the tender for the purchase of gas was awarded to Sri Lanka at a higher price Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Dayasiri Jayasekara said in Parliament today .

Mr. Jayasekara further stated that the allegation that despite a one company has offered a bid for LP gas supply at $ 95 per Ton but tender has been offered for a higher bidder which is at $ 129. He said that this deal was serious and if the Prime Minister and the Cabinet did not give a proper answer to that, the blame would fall on all 225 members of parliament.

“We, all 225 MPs did not steal” he said. This deal is left to the Cabinet. Tell me why you bought the $ 95 for $ 129. Now all hitting to this 225. But the Cabinet must answer for this. ”

“People in Sri Lanka think that the crisis will be resolved buy us every day that Parliament convenes. Either Parliament convenes to resolve this issue. Or solve this problem and then meet. ”

Commenting on this, MP Nimal Lansa suggested to appoint a select committee to find a solution to the problem of purchasing this gas. “The Speaker also has a responsibility for that … ”he pointed out.
