The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has informed people to use tap water sparingly due to the prevailing dry weather.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has said that due to the dry weather, the general water consumption of the people has increased greatly.
They further claimed that the water levels in the catchment areas have dropped rapidly due to the ongoing drought.
The Water Supply Board requests people to limit the usage of purified tap water for gardening, swimming pool maintenance, car washing and so on.
Low pressure may disrupt water supply in highland areas. Therefore, people are requested to collect water and use it sparingly.
