Prison inmates of the Bogambara old prison today (12) launched a protest on the roof of the prison demanding that authorities carry out PCR tests on them. They are demanding that authorities adhere to health regulations without risking the lives of prisoners.
Nearly 30 inmates from Bogambara Prison have been diagnosed with Covid. Protesting inmates claim that no PCR tests have been conducted on them who were close contacts of the prisoners who got Covid.
These inmates are requesting that the government prevent them from dying due to Covid 19 in the prison.
