Minister of Water Supply and Drainage Vasudeva Nanayakkara, who has been diagnosed with Covid 19 had held a birthday party on January 5 at his ministry premises with the participation of a large number of people.
Minister of State Sanath Nishantha and Secretary to the Ministry Priyath Bandu Wickrema and many officials and employees of the Ministry had been present at the event.
In photos posted on the Minister’s Facebook account, the Minister is seen cutting a cake and feeding the cake to State Minister Sanath Nishantha and others present.
The Minister also thanked the staff of the Ministry through his Facebook account for congratulating him on this birthday party which had been held without adherence to social distancing guidelines.
