Uva Governor AJM Musammil Resigns, Pledges Support for Sajith Premadasa

AJM Musammil, the Governor of Uva Province, has submitted his resignation and informed the President of his decision to support Sajith Premadasa in the upcoming Presidential election. Musammil, a former Mayor of Colombo, stated in his resignation letter that, as a professional, he cannot support any Presidential candidate while holding the Governor’s position. He also expressed disappointment over some provincial governors actively campaigning for certain candidates.
