Popular singer Umaria Sinhawansa, who was arrested in connection with a car accident, has been released on Rs. 500,000 bail.
That was when she presented the fort to Magistrate Priyantha Liyanage this afternoon.
Her driver’s license has been suspended for three months.
Umaria Sinhawansa was arrested yesterday afternoon in connection with a collision between a luxury jeep and a three-wheeler at Welikada Junction near the Rajagiriya flyover.
The 38-year-old three-wheeler driver was critically injured and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital. He has undergone surgery.
