According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it has been announced that Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, the Princess Royal of the United Kingdom, is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka from January 10 to 13, 2024.

Accompanying her on this official visit will be her spouse, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, as mentioned in the official statement.

The visit comes as part of the 75th Anniversary celebrations of diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom, and Her Royal Highness has been extended an invitation by the Government of Sri Lanka to participate in various events commemorating this significant milestone.

Princess Anne, being the second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, holds a prominent place in the British royal family. She is the only sister of King Charles III.
