The GMOA has issued a warning, expressing concern about more than 5,000 doctors considering opportunities to go abroad due to unique tax regulations.
Despite exceeding the government’s tax collection target, the association is surprised by amendments to direct tax laws, creating additional challenges for doctors. In response to these difficulties, 5,000 doctors have reportedly unanimously decided to explore opportunities abroad, with preferences for countries like England, Australia, and the Middle East.
The GMOA emphasizes the potential consequences of this exodus, warning that it could lead to a severe deficit of doctors in hospitals in the future. The association seeks attention to address the concerns of the medical community and prevent further challenges in the healthcare sector.
