Two child cancer patients are sitting for the GCE (O/L) examination this time. The director of the Apeksha Hospital, Dr Aruna Jaysekara, said that they are sitting for the exam under medical supervision and are being treated appropriately.
The Director stated that an examination center is normally established in Apeksha Hospital for the GCE Ordinary Level, Advanced Level, and Scholarship exams every year to facilitate the children who are being treated for cancer, and this is done under the supervision of the Ministry of Education.
