So far 20 incidents of election violence have been reported in the Wanni District, according to Wanni District Returning Officer Saman Bandulasena.
However, 12709 government employees in the Vanni have cast their postal votes in a very peaceful environment in the area, the Returning Officer said.
Out of these 5132 postal voters are from the Vavuniya district and 4196 are postal voters from Mannar district.
The remaining 3381 postal voters are postal voters in the Mullaitivu district, he said.
