A train fire occurred at Madurai railway station in Tamil Nadu, South India, resulting in the tragic loss of 10 lives. The incident took place in a paid reserved compartment of the train, with a group of passengers from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, onboard.
Reports suggest that the fire was caused by a gas cylinder that the passengers had allegedly secretly brought into the train compartment. Alongside the fatalities, around 20 individuals have been injured and are currently hospitalized due to the incident.
