JVP General Secretary Tilvin Silva has warned that those who make statements insulting the judiciary will face legal action in the future, following the arrest of former President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The JVP General Secretary also noted that the unity of the opposition is not a challenge to the government at this time.
Commenting on social media, Silva said that what users post should not be taken seriously, as some statements may be false and therefore do not deserve much attention.
He made these remarks when asked by journalists about a statement made by a YouTuber claiming that Ranil Wickremesinghe would be arrested and imprisoned for 14 days.
