The report of the forensic audit conducted as directed by the Sports Minister on the expenses incurred by Sri Lanka Cricket during the last T20 World Cup Cricket Tournament is to be submitted to the Auditor General, the Attorney General, and the Parliament in the coming week after the New Year.

According to the audit conducted by four officers appointed by the Auditor General over the past month, many incidents of corruption and financial irregularities have been unearthed in the Sri Lanka Cricket

Foreign currency allowances paid to people who went officially and unofficially to watch the matches, visas, and air ticket offers to some who have nothing to do with cricket, including two actresses, have come to light during the audit. Several of them, who went to Australia with allowances and tickets, have not even visited a stadium to watch matches played against Sri Lanka. It is reported that this audit will reveal a lot of information about how money has been spent without any justification.
