Due to the risk of landslides, the Peradeniya–Gohagoda Road and the Gannoruwa–Muruthalawa Road have been temporarily closed, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) announced this morning.
DMC Director Pradeep Kodippili stated that the Kandy District is among the areas that have recorded intense rainfall.
According to meteorological data, Katugastota in Kandy has received 119 mm of rain.
