Health workers have declared a 05 hour strike from 7.00am to 5.00 PM tomorrow country (27) in all Government Hospitals, Health Service Trade Unions said today. According to the unions they were compelled to this action due to the failure of the Government to resolve their problems.
Although the government took steps to provide Covid relief allowance of Rs. 7,500 was paid to them after heath trade unions compelled the Government to pay due to the difficulties faced by the pandemic, it has not received by health workers after 30th of August a union spokesman said. It has become a main reason for the trade union action while there are another unresolved problems faced by the health workers during the pandemic he further said.
Nurses, Paramedics, Supplementary professionals and junior staff will join the strike.
