Sri Lankans living in Switzerland staged a hugh protest rally in front UN headquaters in Geneva Yesterday. They gathered near the lankd mark Broken Chaiir Statue and demonstrated against Sri Lanka’s President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and the government to leave the office.
Designed by Swiss artist Daniel Berset and built by renowned carpenter Louis Genevieve, this wooden sculpture with a broken leg is a world-class creation.This was the place where people who love their motherland , gathered and protested when war crimes allegations were made at the UN Human Rights Commission.According to the organizers it was witnessed that same people who raised their voice against war crime allegations against Sri lanka were gathered to ask President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to leave from the presidency.

The protest was being expressed with extreme restraint. The event was attended by a number of scholars and professionals living in Europe.
Expressing their silence in support of the ordinary people of Sri Lanka who are waging this struggle, they said that they are with the strugglers in this country who are now on the road, wherever they are in the world.
