The body of a young man from Vavuniya, Sri Lanka, who had migrated to Canada for work, was found in a car by Canadian police on Saturday (4).
Initial investigations revealed that 21-year-old Jacob Neville Deluxon, a resident of Weerapuram, Settikulam, Vavuniya, became trapped in the vehicle because the doors failed to open.
Canadian police, after examining the vehicle, reached the same conclusion and have requested a full medical examination to determine the cause of death.
Authorities have reviewed several CCTV camera recordings from streets in Toronto, Canada, where the incident occurred.
It has been revealed that the young man parked the car on the side of the road and remained inside for over an hour. The Toronto Police are continuing their investigation into the tragic incident.
