The High Commission of India to Sri Lanka strongly denies the reports that political person or their family members have fled to India. In a tweet the High Commission further says that these reports are fake and blatantly false reports, devoid of any truth or substance.
Some rumors circulated this evening in sections of media and social media that certain political persons and their families have fled to India.
