The Sri Lankan government has opted to sell the Litro Gas Company, a major revenue generator.
To facilitate the sale, the government has announced plans to invite proposals for selling the entire shareholding or a majority shareholding in both Litro Gas Lanka Limited and Litro Gas Terminal Lanka (Pvt) Company.
Currently, the Government of Sri Lanka holds a substantial shareholding, with 99.936% in Litro Gas Lanka Limited and 100% in Litro Gas Terminal Lanka (Pvt) Company. The decision to divest these holdings is expected to have a notable impact on the country’s energy landscape.
