Sri Lanka Secures World Cup Qualification with Dominant 10-Wicket Victory over Oman

In a thrilling match held in Bulawayo, Sri Lanka achieved a resounding 10-wicket victory against Oman, solidifying their qualification for the World Cup. The Omani team, batting first, struggled to find their footing and were ultimately bowled out for a mere 98 runs in 30.2 overs.

A standout performance by Sri Lanka’s Vanindu Hasaranga, who bowled exceptionally, proved to be instrumental in the team’s success. Hasaranga claimed an impressive 5 wickets for just 13 runs, showcasing his bowling prowess and earning the title of the match’s hero.

Chasing a target of 99 runs, Sri Lanka’s opening batsmen Pathum Nishanka and Dimuth Karunaratne displayed remarkable skill and dominance. They formed an unbeaten partnership, scoring 100 runs in just 15 overs to secure a comprehensive victory.

Dimuth Karunaratne played a stellar innings, contributing 61 runs off 51 balls, which included 8 boundaries. Pathum Nishanka complemented his performance with 37 runs off 39 balls, featuring 5 fours.
