The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has decided to revise fuel prices with effect from midnight yesterday (09), increasing the prices of all types of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
Accordingly, the price of the most commonly used Octane 92 petrol has been increased by Rs. 24, bringing the new price to Rs. 317 per litre. The price of Super Diesel has also been increased by Rs. 24 and will now be sold at Rs. 265 per litre.
The highest price increase has been reported for Octane 95 petrol, which has gone up by Rs. 25. The new price of Octane 95 petrol has been fixed at Rs. 365 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of White Diesel has been increased by Rs. 22 to Rs. 303 per litre, while the price of Lanka Super Diesel 4 Star Euro 4 has been increased by Rs. 24 to Rs. 353 per litre.
The CPC further stated that the price of Ceylon Kerosene has been increased by Rs. 13, raising the new price to Rs. 195 per litre.
Meanwhile, following the price revision by the CPC, it is expected that other fuel suppliers operating in Sri Lanka, including Lanka IOC and Sinopec, will also revise their fuel prices accordingly.
