The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has dismissed comments by Donald Trump about the timeline of the ongoing conflict, insisting that it is Tehran, not Washington, that will determine when the war ends.

According to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency, IRGC spokesperson Ali Mohammad Naeini said Trump’s remarks were inaccurate and aimed at managing domestic and regional pressures.

“We are the ones who will determine the end of this war,” Naeini said, emphasizing that Iran retains the initiative in the conflict.

He also warned that Iran’s armed forces would prevent the export of oil from the region to what he described as “aggressors and their partners” until further notice. Naeini added that attempts by those countries to influence global oil and gas prices would prove “temporary and futile.”

The IRGC spokesperson further rejected claims by Trump that United States and Israeli attacks had weakened Iran’s missile capabilities. Instead, he said Iranian forces were launching more projectiles than during the early days of the conflict, in larger numbers and with heavier warheads.

Meanwhile, reporting from Tehran, a correspondent for Al Jazeera said explosions were heard in the Iranian capital only hours earlier.

According to the report, several blasts were strong enough to shake the windows of the news outlet’s office and similar incidents have been occurring periodically throughout the day.

The correspondent said it was not possible to confirm the targets or the impact of the explosions because the Iranian government has not publicly disclosed details about the strikes.

The disturbances were not limited to the capital. Reports indicated that explosions or disruptions had also been experienced in the cities of Isfahan and Karaj, west of Tehran, where power services were reportedly affected.
