Sri Lanka Issues Travel Advisory for Lebanon and Syria

The Sri Lankan government has issued a travel advisory, urging all nationals to avoid traveling to Lebanon and Syria until further notice due to the volatile situation in the region.

Sri Lankans currently residing in these countries are advised to remain on high alert and take necessary precautions, including limiting outdoor activities and maintaining regular communication with Sri Lankan diplomatic missions.

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Beirut and the Honorary Consul in Damascus have provided emergency contact information for those needing assistance. Citizens can reach the Embassy via email at [email protected], or through the following emergency hotlines:
