The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) has taken a new step to prevent parents from rejecting their newborns or minors for various reasons and abandoning them in various places.
Accordingly, steps have been taken to set up Infant receiving windows in nine major hospitals in the nine provinces attached to the pediatric wards, the Authority said in a statement.
The statement further stated that the Child Protection Authority has commenced investigations into all complaints received and has commenced immediate action to arrest the child abuse suspects.
The Complaint Update and Management Digital System (CUMS) of the National Child Protection Authority has been set up and completed the release said.
The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) is also in the process of developing the Police Complaint Update and Management Digital System (Police CUMS).
