The Ministry of Health has initiated a special investigation into the adherence to medical protocols and the proper handling of medical equipment as well as the concerns surrounding the administration of medication and vaccines, that prompted the ministry to take action with the recent death of a patient due to an antibiotic injection.
Senior officials from the ministry have raised critical questions about the administration of medicine. Key concerns include whether patient medical histories were reviewed prior to medication administration, proper storage conditions of medicines, accurate dispensation of prescribed doses, and adherence to specified administration schedules.
To address these concerns, the ministry has announced the formation of a special committee. This committee will be tasked with conducting a comprehensive investigation on the incident.
