Bruno Divakara, the owner of SLVlog, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department.
According to sources from the police, the arrest comes following allegations that Divakara promoted a controversial comic scene titled ‘Modabhimana,’ created by Natasha Edirisuriya, which is claimed to have insulted the Buddhist community.
Divankara, who was summoned to provide a statement at the Criminal Investigation Department earlier today regarding the incident, was taken into custody after his statement was recorded.
The Criminal Investigation Department is expected to continue a thorough investigation into this matter.
