The Sri Lanka Army is set to establish its first ever ‘Drone regiment’ according to news site Newswire. Quoting the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lt General Shavendra Silva, the report said that the Army hopes to enlist the assistance of this drone regiment to monitor ground operations
The Army Commander said that as a country that has ended a war, it will be possible to obtain the assistance of this drone regiment for the security of the motherland in the future to monitor the disaster situation in the country.The Army Commander said that the Army should be strengthened on all fronts and that the process has already begun.
