The investigation into the shooting incident involving Thusitha Halloluwa and the theft of a file on Dabare Mawatha in Narahenpita has been handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division, following orders from the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
According to the police, a person on a motorcycle initially fired shots into the air before shooting at Thusitha Halloluwa’s car. The suspect then stole a file from Halloluwa and fled the scene.
Authorities are currently investigating the contents and nature of the stolen file.
Thusitha Halloluwa has recently attracted public attention due to a statement he made regarding President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s assets. He was summoned to the Criminal Investigations Department yesterday, where he provided a statement lasting seven hours.
