The motorcyclist who carried out the shooting at the vehicle of Thusitha Halloluwa, Director General of Public Relations to former President Ranil Wickremesinghe, has been arrested by the Colombo Crime Division.
Additionally, two individuals who aided and abetted the attack were arrested by the Colombo District Crime Division. These arrests took place yesterday (27th) in the Wattala and Kirulapone areas.
The suspects are aged 31, 32, and 40, and are residents of Wattala and Colombo 14. The police have also seized four mobile phones from their possession.
The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today (28th).
Earlier, on the 24th, three suspects, including a woman, were arrested in Maharagama by the Colombo Crimes Division in connection with the same incident. They were remanded in custody after being presented before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court.
