Iconic Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan is recovering after an accident while shooting for Siddharth Anand’s action-packed film *King* at the Golden Tobacco Studios in Mumbai, Indian media reported.
Khan had travelled to the United States for treatment following the injury. Sources say the injury is not serious, but doctors have advised him to take a month off work to fully recover.
He was scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next week for the opening of Cinnamon Life City of Dreams, but he recently announced his non-participation. As a result, the upcoming shoots for *King* have been postponed to September or October.
This is why he will not be able to attend the opening ceremony of City of Dreams, South Asia’s first integrated resort. His promotion company, Viscraft, announced that Shah Rukh Khan’s absence from the event was due to “unforeseen and unavoidable personal reasons beyond his control.”
Khan has expressed his regret for missing the event.
