The Supreme Court’s determination on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission draft Bill was received by the Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena today (06). The decision of the Supreme Court is scheduled to be presented to Parliament on the 18th by the Speaker.
Accordingly, the decision regarding the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Draft Bill will be taken at the forthcoming Committee on Parliamentary Business meeting.
The Committee on Parliamentary Business chaired by Hon. Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena held on the 04th of May decided not to hold the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill as scheduled on the 05th as the Parliament had not yet received the determination of the Supreme Court.
