Criminal Investigation Department recorded statements from veteran actress Sangeetha Weeraratne yesterday (07) regarding the transactions made with Thilini Priyamali, who is currently in custody for a financial fraud of billions of rupees.
It is reported that Sangeetha Weeraratne was summoned by the CID on several occasions, but she appeared in the Criminal Investigation Department yesterday.
The CID also obtained statements from veteran film actor and former minister Jeevan Kumaranatunga regarding the dealings with Thilini Priyamali.
