Garry Anandasangaree, the son of the leader of the Tamil United Liberation Front V. Anandasangaree, has been reelected to the Canadian Parliament. Mr Anandasangaree, a Liberal candidate from Scarborough, Canada, won the seat with 23,901 votes.
Anita Anandi, who went to Canada from Punjab, India, a country of Tamil origin, has also won a seat in the Canadian election. Kamshaini Gunaratnam, who was born in Jaffna in the Norwegian general election last week, was also elected as a member of the Norwegian Parliament.
