The Indian cricket team captain, Rohit Sharma, has been issued a warning and a fine by the Indian police for his reckless driving on the Mumbai-Pune highway.
Sharma was caught driving his Lamborghini at a staggering speed of 225 kilometers per hour, well above the legal speed limit.
The incident occurred today (19), when Rohit Sharma was allegedly attempting to catch up with the team bus for a match against the Bangladesh cricket team. In response to this incident, the Sharma Police issued a stern warning and a fine to the captain.
Traffic police officials have expressed their concerns regarding Sharma’s dangerous speeding on the expressway. They recommended that he travel with the team in the group bus, complete with police escort, in order to ensure the safety of all involved.
