Police seek to detain for 72 hours and question the wife of former Minister Rishard Bathudeen her father and another person who was arrested last evening in connection with the burning death of the servant girl of former minister’s house Police spokesman Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said.
According to him, the trio will be produced to the courts today and the police are seeking a d72 hours detention order from the courts.
The spokesman said the detention order was issued following further inquiries into allegations of enslavement, cruel treatment and burning to death of the girl at Bathiudeen’s home.
The statements obtained from these three were taken back yesterday (22nd) evening due to contradictions.
