Amidst the speculations that All Ceylon Makkal Congress leader Rishad Bathiudeen will join President Wickremesinghe, Badiuddin has decided to support Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa.
Yesterday (14) a press conference was called and MP Badiuddin said that two opinions arose in the last week and he should have decided which candidate to support.
“We visited Mannar, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Anuradhapura, Puttalam, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Amparakandy, and other districts.
“Accordingly, we met the Supreme Council of our party and came to a unanimous decision that we will support the presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa. Accordingly, we are working for the country’s future to win,” Rishad Badiuddin said.
