The 17-year-old son of Ravana Lanka journalist Nishanka, along with his elderly parents, found themselves under house arrest for nearly two hours after Nishanka was apprehended by the CID earlier. Reports indicate that four individuals, including an elderly man and his parents, were involved in the unlawful confinement and subsequent search of journalist Nishanka’s residence.
The victim, identified as Vihanga Viveka Lochan, lodged a complaint with the Child Protection Authority, expressing his distressing situation. However, no action has been taken thus far, leaving the victim’s family feeling helpless and vulnerable.
Inquiries made by Lankasara reveal the victim’s intent to pursue legal recourse against the CID officials responsible for their unlawful conduct.
