Ranil Wickramasinghe was elected as the 8th Executive President of the Democratic Republic of Sri Lanka by unanimous majority vote.
134 votes were received in favor of Ranil Wickramasinghe, 82 votes in favor of Dallas Alahapperuma, 03 votes in favor of Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The total number of votes cast was 219. 04 votes were rejected. Three did not vote.
Ranil Wickramasinghe was elected today as the Executive President by a single vote.
