It has been suggested that former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe should be appointed as the UNP National List Member of Parliament.
Former UNP Provincial Councilor Senaratne Bandara has nominated Ranil Wickremesinghe for the post of National List Member of Parliament at a meeting held in Kandy yesterday (22) led by the UNP Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardena. The nomination was confirmed by UNP Kandy District Leader Shanthini Kongahage.
Former UNP MPs Palitha Range Bandara, Palitha Thewarapperuma, Saman Ratnapriya and Sandeep Samarasinghe have participated in this meeting. The Deputy Leader of the party Ruwan Wijewardene says that the final decision will be taken today (23).
