Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe successfully underwent heart surgery yesterday, according to sources.
The procedure reportedly lasted several hours, and he is currently recovering at a hospital in Singapore. Sources said he had travelled to Singapore recently for the surgery and is expected to remain there for a few more days.
Prior to his departure, Mr. Wickremesinghe spent several days at a hospital in Colombo for medical check-ups. Following these examinations, he flew to Singapore for further treatment.
