Former Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa did not attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet in Kandy today (12) as he did not get the cabinet post he had hoped for, according to political sources.
Although it was planned to give Rajapakshe the post of Minister of State for Education, he has rejected the post. Political sources further said that if Wijedasa Rajapakshe is given the desired cabinet ministerial post, he will reconsider his stance.
