Ministry of Power and Energy, has announced the discontinuation of the QR system for fuel distribution starting today (01).
Minister Wijesekera made this significant announcement during a press conference held today (01).
The QR system had been implemented as a means to streamline fuel distribution amidst fuel shortages, aiming to simplify the process for consumers.
However, with the fuel situation stabilizing, the Minister declared that the QR scheme is no longer a requirement for purchasing fuel, marking a transition back to more conventional methods of fuel procurement.
This change is expected to provide more flexibility to consumers and alleviate any associated inconveniences.
