Reverend Father Dr. Camillus Fernando spokesman for the Archdiocese of Colombo addressing the media said the Archbishop of Colombo, Reverend Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, and the catholic people hope the current investigations on the Easter Sunday attack will continue.
“We hope legal action will also be taken against the masterminds behind the attack and others who were involved,” he said. Fernando made these comments in a message issued bringing the wishes of the Archdiocese of Colombo to the newly elected government.
“While we extend our best wishes to the newly appointed government, we trust the new government will uphold the trust placed in them by the public and develop the country,” he said.
